Blockades in Romania

We have received reports of blockades being made at certain borders into Romania, and at several locations on the ring road around Bucharest. This is an action that some romanian hauliers are taking because they feel that the romanian Ministry of Ttransport has broken an agreement with them regarding road taxes and fuel taxes. Some of the hauliers feel this agreement has not been honored, and are therefore making blockades. The Minstry of Transport says these blockades are illegal as they are not organised by the unions. It is difficult to say how this situation will develop, but it could cause some delays. We are following the situation, and will revert when there are new developments.
