Haulier strike in Greece
06.05.08
At the moment the greek hauliers are striking due to planned changes in their pension plan that the government wants to pass in a new law. This strike means that currently there are difficulties in arranging deliveres in Greece, and there are threats of making blockades on certain roads, which could complicate direct deliveries for our own trucks. We are following the situation closely, but would like to inform that the situation could cause delays.
Update 15.05.08
As of 15.05.08 the strike amongst greek hauliers has ended. The hauliers have reached a partial agreement with the government, and have ended the strike, for the time being. Depending on further negotiations, the strike could return later this year, but for now things are back to normal.
